Jaguar Land Rover lost about five weeks of production
A cyberattack that began at the end of August 2025 forced Jaguar Land Rover to shut down its IT systems and halt vehicle production at its UK plants for roughly five weeks. The Cyber Monitoring Centre estimated the total cost to the UK economy at around 1.9 billion pounds. The plants and the machinery were never damaged. The systems that run them were simply unavailable.
